Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor

BIO

Hello! My name is Thomas, and I am a licensed graduate professional counselor. I am so glad you found your way to Aspen Grove Wellness. Working in mental health is a deep calling of mine, and from the very first session, my goal is not just to help you feel seen and heard, but also deeply understood. As a clinician, I have the utmost respect and empathy for your experiences. While the paths we walk are all unique, my approach is grounded in creating an environment that honors where you’ve been and where you want to go, with the level of care those experiences deserve.

Throughout our lives, we all encounter obstacles and struggles that can be difficult to face alone. I am here to help with life’s transitions and the complex emotions that accompany them. I am here to help untangle experiences intertwined with trauma. I am here to help you find tools that can make the day-to-day feel a little more manageable. I am here to help.

Our experiences inform the way we think, feel, and behave, and those patterns can shape how we experience the world around us. One of my main goals as a clinician is to help you understand this process within yourself. Greater understanding can create greater agency over your choices, your relationships, and your experiences. Your past does not define your future.

Over the course of our time working together, I will be there to listen, learn, and facilitate meaningful conversations that bring you closer to the goals you help define. Our sessions will work toward insight that provides you with a greater understanding of yourself, your relationships, and the world around you.

My commitment to you is to create an environment of openness and unconditional empathy. Our therapeutic relationship is one of my highest priorities, as I believe feeling safe, respected, and understood is essential to meaningful work together. I want you to feel comfortable trusting me with the details of your experiences and the feelings that accompany them. It takes courage to express our vulnerabilities, and I do not take that for granted.

Outside of the clinical room, I value time with my family and great films that make me wonder. I find joy in a breezy fall night and a perfect cup of coffee. I find meaning in moments of quiet through deep reflection.

What do you value?
When do you experience joy?
Where do you find meaning?

I am interested in your experiences and how you see the world. Simply put, I am here for you.
